7.4 How do I open the target events editor?

The Target Events editor is opened by selecting the 'Events' tab from the Target Editor.


7.4.1 GSGT Target Events Editor


List Box

Lets you view the target event messages. Clicking on the 'Condition' button will sort the messages in hexadecimal order. Clicking on 'Description' will sort them in alphabetical order. Clicking on any of these buttons twice will reverse the order of the display.

New

Opens the 'New Target Event' dialog.

Edit

Opens the 'Edit Target Event' dialog to edit an existing target event.

Delete

Deletes the currently selected target event(s).



7.4.1.1 Target Events Dialog


Event Type

A drop-down box to select the Event Type. The valid Event Types are:

Change Acid
Change Altitude
Change Beacon
Change Ghost Percentage (HCS version only)
Change Heading (available only when 'Route mode' is unchecked)
Change Ident Bit
Change Mode C
Change Mode 3a
Change PSR Blip Scan
Change Run Length
Change Speed
Change SSR Blip Scan
Change Time In Storage
Hold
Delay
Message
Drop Target (available only when 'Route mode' is unchecked)
Response Mode Override

NOTE: For the ATCoach engine, PSR and SSR Blip Scan will only apply if their value is set to either 0 or 100. Also, any Hold Event Leg Time Length over 2 mins will be exported as 2.
Condition

Allows you to choose the condition on which the Target Event is performed. Most event types only allow a time condition. Altitude and Speed Change Events allow either a Time or Position to be selected. The positions listed are from the Target Route, excluding the first and last fixes. If the target route contains airways, the unfiled (not explicitly in the route) fixes along the airway will be displayed in BLUE.

NOTE: For the ATCoach engine, Target Events with a time equal to the Target Start Time will have one second added to them.

Command

The value that will take effect when the Event is processed. The Drop Target Event does not have a Command value.

Comments

Text to describe the target event. Only used for identification/sorting by target event editor.

Generate Msg

If selected, a message reflecting the changed value will be generated. Only valid for Acid, Altitude, Beacon, and Speed Change Events.

Cancel

Closes the dialog and returns you to the 'Target editor'.

OK

Closes the dialog and creates the specified Event.



7.4.1.2 Target Conflict Message

Any conflicts created by modifying the target's beacon code will be listed as the GUI is closed.



Continue

Applies the changes and ignores the message.

Cancel

Closes the dialog and returns you to the 'Target editor', without applying the changes.
