Utilizing SSET |
You can start SSET two ways:
By selecting the SSET icon from the desktop menubar.
Typing sset and enter within any xterm.
Either way, you will be presented with the 'Scenario browser' dialog box.

By default sset uses the tape header as the scenario name. The user can change this or keep the default.
Lets you choose the location on the raid server the user can extract the scenario to. The raid server is where all the user and administrator home and scenario directories reside. The administrator is the only user with permission to write/extract to the "Master" location. Users only have permission to write/extract to their directories or sub directories. When right clicking on a selected item the user will see a popup menu.
The first selection on the popup menu is the size of the directory or scenario. This is only for information. The "New Directory" option will allow the user to create a sub directory within the selected directory. When selected the user will be prompted to input a name for this directory. The "Rename Directory" option will allow the user to rename the selected directory. When selected the user will be prompted to input a new name for this directory. When a scenario is the selected item the "New Directory" and "Rename Directory" will be disabled.
Lets you choose the default time, or manually set it. For extract tapes, set this to the time of the first GO message.
Lets you choose which control cards to default to when the sdrr application is launched. Controls are in the sim, and are used to segment the scenario. The 'Enable All' button will enable the all of the controls, 0 through 15. The 'Disable All' will disable all of the controls, 0 trought 15. Each control has it's own checkbutton, and may be modified individually. A check mark in the checkbutton means that control is enabled.
Lets you choose comments. You will see this comments in the Playback browser next to the scenario name.
Lets you quit out of the application.
